Home Finds
We are currently in the middle of a bandaid makeover in the one bathroom in our house so everything that I bought in February was for that room. Since we’re not done, I can’t tell you if I love these items yet or not, so stay tuned!
Clothing
I’m living in this oversized sweatshirt from H&M right now. It is perfect for the bump (I’m currently 27 weeks). I wear it all of the time with leggings and still feel like I’m semi-put together. I bought a medium.
After seeing this Free People set all over my social media, I had to give it a try. I got it in Blarney Stone which is more of a green than the product image leads you to believe. Still a great color! I love the set. I bought a medium and it’s a great fit for the bump. The top is definitely oversized.
I bought these black overalls from Old Navy after seeing them on @CassMakesHome. I don’t shop at Old Navy often so I was blown away by the quality. They are not maternity so they are getting a bit snug around the belly but I can still make it work. I bought a size 10.
Beauty
I’m obsessed with having smooth legs. Over the last few years, I’ve noticed that I’m getting strawberry legs and I couldn’t figure out why. After doing lots of research, I determined I need to exfoliate more. I decided to try this body exfoliant after literal months of trying to narrow down my options. I saw and felt a noticeable difference after one use! If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend.
I’ve been using this $16 face sunscreen on and off for years. I always come back to it because you just can’t beat it, especially for that price. I just restocked it!
This facial exfoliant is another one of my ride or dies, especially when I’m pregnant and can’t use the holy grail DDG peel pads.
When 2023 hit, I decided to start taking my skincare seriously. In case you couldn’t tell from the products recommended above! This Vitamin C serum leaves my face absolutely glowing. I’ve been using it for a few months and the results are noticeable.
I’m not much of a makeup person. I mean I wear it, but I really have no clue what I’m doing. I have purchased every high-end makeup recommendation out there and now I’m tired of spending $60+ for a foundation. I came across a drug store makeup haul on TikTok and decided to give this foundation a try. I really like and don’t notice a difference between all of the higher-end foundations I’ve tried. It’s not a full coverage foundation which I like too.
Books/Podcasts
I’m still listening to The Show on Rock 105.3 and The Toast religiously. I am desperate for some good podcasts so send me all of your recommendations!
I read a few books in February but none of them were amazing. I’m currently in a reading rut. I always bounce between business books/memoirs and spicy romance novels. So if you have any recommendations in those areas send them my way!
TV/Movies
It’s getting harder and harder to find good shows to watch so when I do finally come across something, I recommend it to everyone.
Michael and I watched the first season of Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix and it’s good! It’s been out for a while and for some reason the trailer just never did it for me. But there was nothing else on so we gave it a shot and loved it. Can’t wait for the next season.
I’m usually not a person who watches comedy specials, but I was up late one night and caught Chris Rock’s latest special on Netflix. I thought it was 85% hilarious! Keep in mind all jokes aren’t for everyone.
Social Media
@turnaroundalan on TikTok is the best thing to happen on social media in a long time. Alan is my spirit animal.
