Anonymous is an exciting, fast-paced mystery that keeps you hanging on every word and wanting more! I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for the sequel.
Before we dive into the book, I want to disclose that I know the author, Elizabeth Breck. Because I want to keep the integrity of this blog top-notch, my opinions below are based solely on the plot and writing of Anonymous, and is in no way influenced by my personal relationship with the author.
Anonymous by Elizabeth Breck
Anonymous opens with Madison Kelly, a private investigator in La Jolla, finding a threatening note stuck to her door. Her initial reaction is confusion as she is currently in between cases. Even though the note warns for her to “stop investigating” this person, her curiosity overpowers her and the story ensues.
The book follows Madison Kelly through the process of this investigation when the only clue is a note that could be about anything. Madison is smart and savvy. She believes that she may know what the note is about based on some interactions that she has had on social media, but who would possibly threaten her because of a tweet?
We quickly learn that you never know what Madison will do next. While the plot twists and turns, she follows every lead. All while navigating the people in her life who start to get in the way. But her life experiences have toughened her and she will stop at nothing to find out who is threatening her.
I couldn’t put this book down! If you love a good mystery novel then I highly recommend Anonymous.
