I don’t take a lot of time when it comes to beauty. Not that I don’t need it because, trust me, I’m a hot mess most of the time! Mainly it’s just not my thing. I just want to look good effortlessly. I don’t think that’s asking for much… With that being said, when I come across a product that I love and know I will continue to use for the long haul, I consider it my civic duty to share it with the world. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is one of those products.
This is a fun new series I like to call, “I don’t know anything about beauty, but…” Catchy, I know!
I received a travel size container of Laneige lip sleeping mask last fall in one of the subscription boxes that I was subscribing to. Since then, I have used it every single night before bed. I swear by it, especially during winter in Nebraska. Talk about so much dry air! I’ve been using it for a few months now and still have half of the container left, so it does last a while.
My nighttime routine goes like this:
Step 1
Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil to remove my makeup. Always this cleansing oil, which will probably be my next product in this series. I live for it. It takes off all of my makeup, including mascara, without pulling at my skin.
Step 2
Then wash my face with some sort of face wash… I haven’t found one that I LOVE so I just use whatever I have on hand. I get so many samples from various purchases that I haven’t actually bought face wash in a long time.
Step 3
Apply moisturizer. Right now I’m using Estee Lauder’s Revitalizing Supreme+ Global Anti-Aging Cell Power Creme from my Box of Style. I liked this one but I’m not a fan of the smell, and it’s expensive. Or I just use grapeseed oil from Amazon, which was a tip from the lady who does my eyebrows. She is in her late 50’s and has better skin than I do so I took her advice! See for yourself, I wrote about her here.
Step 4
Apply under eye cream. I am obsessive about my eye cream. I put it on morning and night! Right now I’m using another product that I received in my Box of Style subscription, Edible Beauty Gold Rush Eye Balm. I really like it and I think it works great, but I really want to try OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Eye Creme. It’s less expensive and I’ve heard amazing things about it. I will pick it up once I’m out of what I’m currently using.
Step 5
Last thing is the Laneige Lip Mask. I slather it all over my lips like a crazy person.
I wake up in the morning and my skin is fully hydrated. Well at least I think it is.
This is what’s been working for me, but you know that I’m always open to try something new. What works for you? Send me all of your must have recommendations!
